rental car

We are going to do our best to cover transportation from certain pick-up points the day of the ceremony and reception for those who are not staying at The Hills (where ceremony and reception will take place). Seeing the rest of the island will likely be done through rental car and/or taxi. Please note there are no Ubers or Lyfts on island.

If you have traveled to St.John before and are comfortable driving around the island, there are multiple rental car companies to choose from. They book up quickly. Please remember driving is on the LEFT SIDE. Only rent from St. Thomas if you are comfortable driving in the car ferry and barge and you have checked that the rental car company allows you to bring the car to St. John. If you decide a rental car is best, please double check to ensure your accommodations have parking. Some do, and some don't.

are children invited to the wedding?

We love your littles—we really do! However, we kindly ask that children not attend.

is there a dress code?

Cocktail attire with an island flare! Think patterned dresses, jumpsuits and lightweight/linen suits! Our theme colors are a mix of greens and dusty pink and muted corals. If you’re interested in color matching, we would be delighted! Please no jeans, shorts or Hawaiian shirts.

See the Pinterest linked below for some inspiration!

do you need a passport to visit st. john?

You do not need a passport to visit the USVI. However, if you are planning on island hopping to the British Virgin Islands during your time in the USVI, a passport is required for entry to the BVIs. Day trips and charters to the BVIs are available and a trip to Jost Van Dyke (home of the Painkiller) or Willy T's floating bar could make bringing a passport worth your while.

can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We will have a photo opportunity for guests during the ceremony, and then we kindly ask that you please turn off cellphones & cameras for the duration the ceremony. Don’t worry, we have a photographer and videographer and will have a lot of photos to share with you after the wedding.

will I need to rent a car?

Please see the travel page for rental and taxi information.

what do I pack?

Make sure to bring sunscreen and bug spray!
